"...somewhere between a coffee shop and a cocktail bar."
The jury is unanimous on this one — Gavel is guilty of being one of Indy's best new coffee shops. And it's unique twist on the cafe experience demands your full attention.
Listen, take a couple clicks around this website, and you'll see how much we love Tinker Coffee. They're definitely one of our favorites in the city. So it's no surprise their beans are gracing the shelves and the grinders at Gavel.
Gavel's unique twist? You won't find any espresso-based drinks at Gavel, probably because you won't find an espresso machine. Mastermind Daniel Herndon (you know, like MilesHERNDON), wanted to create a created, handmade pour-over experience. And by george, that's what they've done.
Fountain Square is such a tight-knit, inviting community, and Gavel is embracing this to its fullest. The food menu is petite, and it's curated with only the freshest, hyper-local ingredients (like Amelia's Bread and the Gallery Pastry Shop, to name a few).
It's a good day to be in Fountain Square, folks. The team members at MilesHerndon have really outdone themselves.
