When I first pulled up to Della Leva, I didn't know what to expect. I had seen beautiful photos on Instagram, and the exterior of the building threw me off. It's a beautiful building, but it's at the end of a new and mostly-empty strip mall in a growing part of Fishers And they have a drive-thru? I was skeptical — skeptical but excited.
When I walked into Della Leva for the first time, I nearly lost my breath. I immediately forgot I was in a strip mall in Fishers and was transported to a beautifully bright cafe that could be found in Europe or Chicago.
Giant windows. Tall ceilings. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling murals. Large, polished coffee counter. And the aroma? Coffee and fresh-baked pastries. It's a dream.
Della Leva's drink menus at first glance seems like a traditional cafe — you've got your teas, your coffees, your lattes, and your signature sugary drinks. But they've also got an awesome blend of third-wave options, including pour-over coffees from different varietals and roast levels.
The coffee beans themselves are branded as Della Leva, but I'm not sure where it is roasted or who actually roasts it. It's freakin' delicious, though, so I'm not sure that I really care.
